"Soldier Side"
SoaD

Dead men lying on the bottom of the grave
Wondering when savior comes, is he gonna be saved
Maybe you’re a sinner into your alternate life
Maybe you’re a joker, maybe you deserve to die

They were crying when their sons left
God is wearing black
He’s gone so far to find no hope
He’s never coming back

They were crying when their sons left
All young men must go
He’s come so far to find the truth
He’s never going home

Young men standing on the top of their own graves
Wondering when Jesus comes, are they gonna be saved
Cruelty to the winner, bishop tells the king his lies
Maybe you’re a mourner, maybe you deserve to die

They were crying when their sons left
God is wearing black
He’s gone so far to find no hope
He’s never coming back

They were crying when their sons left
All young men must go
He’s come so far to find no truth
He’s never going home

Welcome to the soldier side
Where there is no one here but me
People all grow up to die
There is no one here but me

Welcome to the soldier side
There is no one here but me
People on the soldier side
There is no one here but me

oh, god. I am not recapping. No.i just thought the year 2006 has given me a lot of good stuff plus some really incomprehensible and riduliculous twists along the way.
ran into some "bad territory" at the end of the year though. turns out my inner desire to concentrate on portraiture and photography won in the end. besides, they chucked me out anyway, with the kind of behavior im pulling these days. * that would be my "willful" unconscious working, i guess*

. year 2007 is another adventure. :D

im off to call centers in the mean time. while i prepare the necessary papers and things for going abroad (yes…ive longed to travel, i’ll see them all and perhaps write a story and do portraits along the way, im very fascinated with the way people live and [die perhaps] - i’ve started collecting picture books, im very much awed by the perseverance of those people -especially the war photographers and portrait artists -to provide a sort-of "peek" into a place and time no one can ever go back to). there are portraits/pictures that I can go on looking at "forever", it’s amazing how a single shot of the face (with the body occasionally) can tell so much.

ive also visited the National Portrait Gallery website of England (i doubt the philippines have this kind of thing). Again im in awe at the number of interpretations a single person/persons can have. my favourite(s) so far:

- Mary Wollstonecraft Shelley [the author of Frankenstein] by Richard Rothwell (1840)

-Leonard Sidney Woolf [political theorist and husband of Virginia Woolf] by Vanessa Bell (oil on canvas - 1940)

-Virginia Woolf [novelist and critic] by Francis Dodd (chalk, 1908) - this one very interestingly done (it’s actually just the head of Mrs. Woolf - the body fades out -, but is so expressive in terms of the use of sketchy lines, simply incredible, it has an unfinished but thoroughly "alive" look.)

-Charles Babbage [mathematician] by William Brockedon (black and red chalk, 1840)

and now for the supertitious nonsense:

Just found this one out.
My Sun is in Capricorn and my Moon is in Scorpio.
These are my characteristics as an individual (apparently):

Capricorn/Scorpio
The combination of your Sun sign and your Moon sign produces in you an
extremely strong inner drive and a keen sense of your own importance as
an individual. A certain rigid inner pride keeps your self-respect always at a high level.
Early on, temperament may be a problem, but as you mature cooperation
is learned and a judicial and rather stern nature rules the
personality. A very reserved individual, you often express
yourself in quiet ways, always remaining perfectly capable of
communicating disapproval without saying even a word.
Most
people think of you as a very reasonable person and in may ways you
are. It is very difficult, however, to ever persuade you that you are
wrong because of a highly inflexible core within.
Often you may use the tactic of appearing not to understand the other
person’s point of view, even when it is quite clear to you. You are
very honorable, loyal, and devoted, with a keen sense of the sobriety
of life, and of your duty as a part of it. Right or wrong, you hold to your first impressions of people, especially if those first impressions were not good.
You are a very understanding of people and their problems, and while
you usually can remain very much detached, you are a good listener and
provide sound advice. Emotions never seem to interfere with your
reasoning power.

Verdict:
mostly true. especially the “strong will and inner pride”. I am loath
to be told what I should do. I tend to do what I like, I stick to what
I want. i have read somewhere that I am “hard to influence”. I don’t
know if this is good or bad though. ;p
