…and you can find anything.

Third week of training as a call center agent at Teleperformance Philippines. We have like 3 assessments a day (that’s the minimum, so far 6 has been the maximum number). Next (next) week we’ll begin taking calls (real calls)…What if I mess up someone’s account??! wehehehe…I hope not. We did "hotseats" (a regular rep pretends to be a customer and we answer their calls - what if the rep turns out to be Melissa Daniel?? - she can be a bit scary, you know) today, I haven’t been picked (random selection) yet. I just want to get this over with.

Other random observtions. Like I said before, it’s my third week here and yet i haven’t even experienced riding the TP shuttle - we always walk from Megamall to the Teleperformance building. They say it’s dangerous walking (we arrive at 5:00 in the morning - i love manila during the mornings -4:00 am to 6:00 am- it’s semi-quiet), but so far we haven’t been robbed or anything yet (and I sure hope not). Even the market at Luzon Ave (that’s where I currently live - btw - my cousin’s house) seems okay (compared to how it appears during let’s say 2:00 in the afternoon). Our place is near a Supermarket and we have like two wet markets (could be a bit "yucky" though-especially when it rains).

Edit: (nampucha! ang sarap mag-tagalog!) after we get out of the building we immediately switch into tagalog mode (as there’s an "English Only" policy inside the building, you get "written-up" if you are caught speaking in Tagalog). Received my first salary last Feb.3, and my money is running out already! Part of it could be blamed on the "traveling" expenses (I live in QC- daily fare B&F amounts to approx. 42 pesos)

It’s basically a crash course, information overload frequently occurs (there are times when I feel my brain turning into jelly)….The Free & Clear America Plan…roaming…PCS to PCS…Areawide Plans…Sprint Vision…whahaa! There are times when you feel your head teeming with so much info…it’s getting close to exploding..)But so far,my average isn’t that bad…lowest was 83% (on my very first course…wehehehe…brain not working at that moment) my highest was 97% for Account Management One, latest was 96.16% for ACCT. M2.

I couldn’t count the times I’ve accidentaly fallen asleep! (that’s why I try to seat at the back…so I wouldn’t get caught!)…wahaha! There’s this one incident wherein my Instructor asked me if I’m bored (nothing could be further from the truth! Joke!) or having problems with the class or with her (i told no…I’m just probably sleepy…)yeah, but to tell you the truth…I got bored a number of times, especially when the "Simo" was droning on and on (there was one time I nodded-off in the middle of a lesson and i had to back-pedal and say…wait…repeat..didn’t get that one..)…why am I bored???! Is it in my nature to be that way…??

Major complaint! I haven’t drawn anything since I started here! (I don’t want my technique progress to be set back a couple of notches again!) I’m off to San Pablo tomorrow…

I need sleep too.

Don’t expect this one to be that coherrent…I’ve been up since three in the morning…night folks! (although it’s only 4 in the afternoon)
